The Accommodations

The CabinFor total mountain country comfort, you will “camp” in a restored log cabin that’s more than 150 years old. The rustic porch is ideal for afternoon lethargy. The gas-lighted living room has a fireplace that is perfect for chasing off the evening chill. A modern kitchen is fully equipped with stove, small refrigerator, hot water, dishes, utensils and cookware. There is a hot shower, too. There is also a gas grill, campfire site and horseshoe put to help burn a few calories. Come bedtime, the cabin will comfortably sleep eight. All the while you can hear only the sounds of the stream and pond just a few yards away. This can be exclusively yours. While visiting our little piece of heaven, you and your party will be the only people using the property. Whether fishing, relaxing, or waiting for a hatch, the only intruders may be a passing deer, wild turkey, duck, goose, or even the occasional osprey or eagle.

Access to the cabin by vehicle requires crossing the stream. In event of higher than normal water, access is by foot with a short, quarter-mile walk. There is also an emergency exit for vehicles in the event of high water.

A generator is available for electric lights, in addition tot he gas lights and 12-volt lights.
